Our mission
OUr goal is to sustain a healthy working landscape in malheur county
The men and women of the Owyhee Basin Stewardship Coalition work together, to help sustain and protect the lands of Malheur County. The OBSC is a volunteer organization made up of ranchers, business owners, law enforcement, veterans, outdoor enthusiasts and concerned citizens, formed to maintain a healthy, working landscape. Public lands are a vital resource for the sustainability of the entire county and future generations. OBSC believes this vital resource should be protected from potential harm and remain available for multiple-use.
The OBSC knows that the public lands that make up the high desert of Malheur County are already protected and valued by those who make their livelihoods here, those who protect it from fires, and those who visit to enjoy what Mother Nature has to offer.
The OBSC wants to work with all groups who value Malheur County to ensure this area is protected and valued for generations to come.
