Sam Dowell

Sam is a third generation rancher in southeastern Oregon.  He was raised on the family ranch along the Owyhee River.  He’s an avid hunter and trapper.  He spent 12 years in the powerline construction industry, as a journeyman lineman and construction foreman. His love for farming and ranching in the high desert, and the promise to carry on the family ranch, brought him back to Oregon.  Water quality and rangeland health are absolutely vital to his future and future generations. He’s active in community serving on the Arock school board and fights fire with the Rangeland Fire Protection Agency.
